The Fayre takes place on Saturday 9 June. A letter asking for donations for plants, jumble, white elephant, books and tombola will be arriving on your doormat very soon. The collection of these items will be done by the Cricket Club in the evenings of 28, 29, 30 May. The Iron Room will also be open for the delivery of items on Saturday 2 June 10am – 2pm. Help is needed on Friday 1 June 6pm to put up the poles and bunting on the Green. For further information, please ring Ian Foinette 01233 756714.

Arrangements for the Boughton Lees Pleasure Fayre (9 June 2pm) are well under way. The usual stalls and side shows will operate – so don’t forget to look out tombola prizes, white elephant, jumble, books and nearly new items when the cricket Club come to collect on the evenings of 28, 29 and 30 May. Donations of cakes for refreshments and the cake stall may be brought to the Green on the day. The Baptist Church is selling teas in the Chapel during the afternoon. There will be a fancy dress competition and races for the children to take part in. Help is needed on the stalls and a team is needed to organize and run the tombola. If you can help, please ring Ian Foinette on 01233 756714. Strong men as also needed on Friday 1 June at 6pm to start putting up bunting on the Green.

Fayre It’s that time of year again! Boughton Lees Pleasure Fayre takes place on Saturday 9 June. The Fayre will be opened by Mr Parrott of Eastwell Manor. To keep up with the Jubilee celebration there will be children’s fancy dress competition as well as visit from Duncan Donut and races. There will also be a static glider display. Please start collecting books, tombola prizes, white elephant items and plants. The Cricket Club will be collecting these items on the following dates May 28, 29 and 30 May in the evenings. Also if you feel you can spend some time helping with a stall, please ring Derek Anthony, 623177 who will be grateful to accept your offer.

Welcome to Boughton Aluph and Eastwell Parish Website, we hope you find what you want and welcome your feedback which you can provide through the Contact Us page.
Boughton Aluph and Eastwell is a little known jewel in this part of the South East. The History Page reveals many interesting facts about the Parish and its astonishing connection to English Royalty and also playing host to the great European Monarchies.
The Parish borders the North Downs and is on the edge of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by this amazing countryside it offers outstanding views. Just stand at Eastwell Towers and gaze out towards the Wye Crown, it must possibly be one of the finest views in the South East. Around the Parish and interspersed within it, is mainly agricultural land, some of which is of the highest quality. There are many country footpaths for ramblers to enjoy, including the Pilgrims Way, and the North Downs Way which is an international Grande Randonee which stretches from Cork to the South of France. These footpaths take you through some interesting areas of wildlife and provide remarkable vistas.
As a place to live, the Parish has a lot to offer, giving a choice of both modern day and old world living. In the Parish and its surrounding area there are plenty of places to eat and stay which cater for different cuisines and size of pocket. Just visit our Web Page to find out more.
If it is action you want, there are also many clubs and societies. The Village Green plays host to the local Cricket Club and what can be more pleasurable than on a summer afternoon watching cricket and enjoying refreshment and lunch outside the Flying Horse Inn, opposite the Green. At the other end of the Parish there is the Sandyacres Sports and Social Club which hosts many local football teams, archery competitions and has an excellent bar and function hall. Throughout the year it lays on entertainment including cabaret evenings and also caters for private parties since it has a five star rated kitchen. At the newer end of the Parish there is a shopping precinct with places to eat and drink, a small supermarket, a hairdresser and pharmacy. Here again you will find many footpaths and cycle lanes to use.
With a new Primary School opening in September 2013 the Parish will be able to provide first class education to local residents for primary and junior children. Close by is the Towers School which now has Academy Status in partnership with Highworth Grammar School. For tiny tots there are also plenty of pre-school nurseries. The Parish is served by a range of excellent private schools.
